REASON: Reason for presentation: Recheck for cough, ongoing respiratory signs.

HISTORY:
Cough improved but not fully resolved. Less severe than last week.
Still panting, esp. when stressed.
Attends dog park regularly.
Previous Cushing's test normal but may not rule out diagnosis.
Still drinking lots of water.
1 more dose of antibiotics remaining (tonight).
Ear lotion working well, applied weekly.

APPETITE: Eating well.

ACTIVITY: Usual self, seems happy.

CURRENT MEDICATIONS: Antibiotics (1 dose remaining), weekly ear lotion.

**CLINICIAL EXAM:**
Mentation: BAR
MM: pink, moist
CRT: <2s
Lymph nodes: WNL
HR: Unable to get rate due to panting +++
RR: Panting, clear chest, no crackles or wheezes.

ASSESSMENT:
Ddx: resolving kennel cough

DISCUSSION:
Discussed options: continue antibiotics for another week or stop now.
Owner elected to continue for another week.
If cough returns after completing course, may need chest x-rays.
Cushing's discussed - previous test normal but may not always rule out diagnosis. Panting and increased water intake concerning for possible Cushing's.

TREATMENT:
Doxy 50mg BID for 1 more week

PLAN:
Finish antibiotic course.
No recheck booked.
Contact clinic if cough returns after completing antibiotics.
Chest x-rays may be required if cough persists.
