Original Vet : Jace Jie Wei KohReason: Sore Foot, Been Biting/chewing At For A WeekAppointment Notes: dcHistory: Charlie does has a history of allergic skin condition- O usually gives him anti-histamine daily but has stopped that. Has also had Cytopoint injs before too. Os also clean his feet with baby wipes daily after walks, and uses Aloveen and medicated shampoo baths for him. This past week he has been biting and licking at the LF paw excessively. Last night would not walk up the ramp. O then realised he was refusing to put weight on the LFL while walking last night. Today he is putting more weight on the paw. Objective: BAR, worried dogBCS 8/9- obeseTemp not takenSkin: No obvious skin lesions on rest of body aside from feetMSK: Walking fine in consult. Slight clicking on both forelimbs during carpal manipulation. All 4 feet are mild to moderately erythematous with brown staining, worst on LF feet. There is also a focal circular (likely follicular cyst) on ventral aspect of LF feet, just above the carpal pad. No other swelling seen. Assessment: Likely pododermatis with secondary infection on LF feetSuspect OA in joints due to his weightTreatment:Cytopoint inj 20mg SCCepahelxin 120mg PO BID 2 weeksPred 5mg PO SID 5 days, then tapering dosePlan:Treat and manage the pododermatitis for now.
