BOAS Surgeryon admission- metoclopramide 0.5mg/kg SC- dexamethasone 0.2mg/kg SC- maropitant 1mg/kg SCpremed methadone 0.35ml and medetomidine 0.05ml IM - provided mild sedationpreoxygenated with O2GA induction i/v alfaxan 1.5mlentubated with 5.5mm ET tubemaintained on isoflurane and O2Surgery- assess the soft palate and check elongation - elongated- assess tonsils - enlarged- assess nose - stenotic nares- assess the laryngeal ventricles - everted laryngeal saccules.- nose alar surgery to remove wedge of tissue to open up the airways close with 4/0 pds good post op opening- tonsils removed- folded palatoplasty performed using cautery, sutured with monosyn 4/0- laryngeal ventricle everting - gasped and resected with scissors little bleeding controlled with pressurePost top- medetomidine 0.5-1mcg/kg IV top up prior to recovery- methadone or buprenorphine inj if required.- E collar post op Home on- codeine 1mg/kg PO BID- ondansetron 0.5-1mg/kg BID- pred 0.5-1mg/kg PO SID- trazodone if stressed- paracetamol 10mg/kg BID if additional pain relief needed- eye lube for 3 days

Reguritation- water in the am - has vomited a little food at night- not desexed- mircohip is different to the card -- to check O; - nasal opening smaller- laboured and noisy respiration- soft palate very elongated and can see the whole pharangeal area is full and no spaceA; needs BOAS surgery - suspect this is the whole problemP; discussed surgical options- est $2500microchip 9560000016670181
