11/03/2026 doing well. only  a few ml in the seroma still ( remained after aspiration 4 days ago) . comfortable. no wounds or discharge. 
Culture still in progress. no bacteria dtected. leucocytes only. 
culture continues. 
owner requested nails be trimmed as starting to turn. 
owner advised best done with her - feed treats - only take the treats well for trimming if liver treats mushed in peanut butter licky matt.

The seroma is doing well. It has not refilled. This will take time to resolve completely , possibly weeks. We are still waiting for the culture results, so far no bacteria has grown which is great. 
We will recheck her in 2 weeks time or earlier if needed.

Last friday got staples removed for her 2 week post op 
temp 38.7
8x8cm swelling TL . nonpainful. 
prepped and aspirated haemorrhagic fluid x 7ml 
cytology see photos - macrophages. no PMNS no bacteria . NB lines in photo are not rods. 
Called MASH as likely will want culture. confirmed and advised that CVC can treat directly . Sent sample to lab for culture and sensitivity. Requested results be sent to MASH as well.

We have drained 7ml of fluid from the swelling of Alli's back. There is no current infection but there are inflammatory cells. We contacted  MASH and they agree a culture would be appropriate and happy for us to send the sample off and treat as needed. 
The swelling may return due to the space that is there. We will assess and manage this accordingly.
Could we please recheck Alli on Wednesday or Thursday. We may need to start antibiotics based on the culture.
