Objective: BAR HR/PR: 65RR: panting Temp: 38.7MM: p/m CRT: <2s Status: ASA 1 Laboratory: PAS all wnl Treatment: Premed : Methadone Injection 0.75ml & Medetomidine injection 0.05ml IV @11:05am > Niramine Injection 1.3ml S/C @ 11:12 am Induction: Propofol 10ml IV @ 11:12am Intubated with ETT cuffed #9.0 and maintained on isoflurane 1.5% with 1L/ min O2. IVFT started CSL @130ml/hr Ears clean /Teeth G2/4 /nails trimmedSurgery started @ 11:50am Technique : In L lateral recumbency > R dorsal back approach approx 3mm blackened raised round mass > Incision made with a 2cm margin around the mass > Incision deep to allow a 2cm margin inwards. > Wound closed subcutaneous with 2/0 silver glide as simple continuous suture pattern. Skin layer closed as intradermals with 2/0 silver glide. > R eye ventral mid cornea indolent ulceration 1mm diameter fluoresceine +ve. Used tetracaine to perform a cotton tip debridement. Surgery finished @ 12:23pm Anaesthesia finished @12:30pm Recovery smooth Pain relief > Meloxicam Injection 0.52ml SC given @ 12:58pm > Continue metacam dog chews 2.5mg 1T PO SID > Doxycycline 100 give ONE and a QUARTER AM and PM Plan: F/U call tomorrow.Eye check in 5 days. INI then consider alternatively giving occuflox or referral to VOR. Wound check in 10-14 days.
