06/03/2026 Sedated c 0.3ml domitor, 0.9ml butorphanol IM @ 1135 JC IV catheter placed and topped up with 1ml alphaxalone during procedure. LHS ear otoscopy: +++ dark waxy discharge all the way down to ear drum, no FB visible. Cleaned ear c otoflush and saline until clear. RHS ear otoscopy: mild dark waxy discharge present. Cleaned ear c otoflush. Reversed c 0.2ml atipamezole IM. Good recovery. Home c dermotic BID in LHS ear x2wks and RHS ear x5d. Advise recheck ears in 2wks. **after discharge noted that patient was actually diagnosed with rod infctn yesterday. please bring back for recheck in 1wk - if no response to polymixin B then change to aurizon or EKT**
