Reason: L3 Infected Dew Claw (Right) , Also Swollen Paw DuPresented and seen by Dr  Michelle Hahm    @ Time/Date 2339 8/3/2026History:Noticed Laila was licking the RF paw, and swelling and small pus over swelling (ruptured abscess) over RF dewclaw nailbed. O applied bandage and placed too tightly, causing swelling. Examination Findings:General demeanour: BARTemperature: 38.7Cardiovascular: no murmur or arrhythmia, FP synchronous and adequate bilaterallyRespiratory:  no overt bronchovesicular sounds, normal effort, no cough/sneeze witnessedAbdomen: soft, doughy abdomen, no pain elicited, no. mass effectPeripheral LNs: WNLEyes/Ears: NSFIntegument: circumferential swelling over RF dewclaw nailbed, intact nail itself, no trauma noted. Small pinpoint wound on the medial aspect where rupture occurred. Paw itself still mildly swollen from O bandaging, but not painfulOral exam: NSF Musculoskeletal: comfortable on all ROM of limbs, spinal palpation, neck manipulation.  Gait: Normal, no lamenessNeurological: Normal mentation, CN normal, CP x 4 normalRectal exam: DNPAmoxyclav 125mg BID for 5dMeloxicam 10kg dose SID for 3-5 daysSoft ecollar for 7-10dInitial Assessment:Nailbed infectionClient Communication:To treat symptomatically. If becoming lame or worsening skin appearance, recheck advised with GP vetTo not place bandage and leave openPlan:Outpatient    Vital Signs
