07/03/2026 Reason: Unwell History: Been off food for the last few days, gave some tuna today and did eat it. Panting all day. Not drinking water and refusing to. Very lethargic and not himself. Belly feels a bit hard, has been known to get constipation. Usually clears out with pumpkin and milk. No vomitting or diarrhoea. Not known for eating abnormal things. Nothing changed in food. Gets chicken with biscuits. Gets tuna every now and then. No limping or licking anywhere. No chance of rat bait ingestion, do not keep any on the property. Examine: AR but subdued MM's: darker pink than expected (does have dental disease), even eye conjunctiva darker than normal CRT: delayed, 3s HR: 100 RR: panting Auscultation of chest: difficult to hear heart over panting but no audible arrythmia or murmur. Lung sounds are clear, no audible wheezing but some UR noise on tracheal ausculation. Abdomen: Severely tense especially cranially. Difficult to palpate individual structures. No palpable distension or gas. Temperature: 39.3 Rectal: no faeces palpable, very warm. Nothing on glove. Mouth: severe dental calculus and gingival recession. No visible lesions on tongue or back of throat, wouldn't tolerate thorough exam MSK: no notable lameness in consult. Not weak but definitely lethargic. Coat/hair: is overgrown and due for groom. No visible erythema or other lesions seen. Rest of examination unremarkable Assessment: Tense abdomen, reduced appetite, panting, reduced water drinking, lethargic, borderline pyrexia DD's: heat stress, gastroenteritis, intestinal FB, constipation, pain (dental dx, loose tooth, TRA?) etc Discussion: Difficult to determine severity without bloodwork so highly recommended general health profile to give as much information about body as possible. May require transfer to emergency for further workup and treatment. O consented to bloodwork, will wait in clinic for results. Laboratory: Bloodwork CBC all parameters WNL
