Recheck Subjective: Licking paws excessively. Owner picked up apoquel on 12/1/24 and responded somewhat to the tablets. Reduced itch about 70% Has been off apoquel about 1 month. Picky eater. No vomiting/diarrhoea seen. Owner moved house Oct 23 and allergy problems started after that. Objective: Muzzle - tries to bite when examining paws. Heart fine. Weight ok. Ears and skin fine. Right front paw very raw between pads and also has area of alopecia/erythema on dorsal part of paw. Rest of paws quite good - only mildly irritated. Removed small grass seed from between middle toes right hind paw. Otherwise well. Diagnosis: Interdigital dermatitis right front paw Treatment: Prednil 5mg 1 SID 5 days then 1 EOD X 10 tablets Apoquel 5.4mg 1 BID 10 days then 1 SID X 50 tablets 25cm Eliz collar Client communication: Can collect repeats of apoquel for 6 months as needed.
