History:- Second vaccination follow-up. No adverse reactions (vomiting, diarrhoea) reported post-vaccination.- Diet: Advanced puppy food, Prime 100, and half a cooked egg.- Energy levels: High, plays non-stop with her 9-month-old brother.- Socialising well with other dogs.Physical Exam Findings:Behaviour: Good temperament, calm, and not reactive during examination.Ears:- Gunk noted in the top of vertical canals of both ears. Horizontal canals appear clear on otoscopic examination. TM intact. No head shaking or significant scratching reported by the owner. Owner has used an ear cleaning product (Otoflush/Epiotic) previously on their other dog.Oral Cavity:- Deciduous teeth present, good alignment. No evidence of overbite. .Cardiovascular:- Heart sounds normal, no murmur detected.Urogenital:- Not yet desexed. normal anatomy. NO hernias.Assessment:Fit to vaccinate - Protech C3 s.cPlan:- Clean ears with Epiotic/Otoflush - done today in consult - Maisie didn't react to this at all - no pruritic. Administer ear drops twice daily - O has Dermotic at home from other dog.- Re-evaluate if no improvement.- Continue maintenance ear cleaning every fortnight.- Continue Nexgard Spectra for parasite control and add a tapeworm treatment every three months.Communications:- Discussed desexing. Advised that ideal timing is to allow one heat cycle then desex eight weeks later to reduce risk of urinary incontinence etc. Acknowledged the high risk of mis-mating with an entire male in the household. Supported owner's plan to desex the male dog in January 2026. Discussed desexing Maisie from six months of age, potentially around the 9-12-months mark.
