His appetite is normal, and he had a history of FB ingestion. The string was attached to a toy and was last seen intact at 11:00 pm last night. The owner noticed it was missing this morning at around 11:00 am. The owner suspects the other cat may be more likely to have ingested it, as she has a history of foreign body ingestion. Physical Examination: Demeanour: BAR (very nervouse)BCS: 5/9EENT: normal Peripheral lymph nodes: normal size Integument: shaved abdominal fur for previous FB removal surgery Cardiovascular: HR- 270 (very nervous)Respiratory: not assessed Abdominal: soft and comfy when palpated Musculoskeletal: normal, full musculoskeletal exam was not done. Neurological: normal Rectal: not assessed Urogenital: no discharge Assessment:Problem list: 1. Suspected FB ingestion Dexmedetomidine was administered to induce emesis. She has vomited but no string was found. A POCUS examination was performed to search for a foreign body in the gastrointestinal tract, and the findings were unremarkable. Plan (incl. alternative options): 1. Monitor closely over the next 2–3 days for any signs of vomiting (V+).
