<p>Thursday night yelped in pain when jumped off low couch. A couple more incidents that night of increasing severity. O went to ARH, no injuries located, presumptive IVDD. Sent home with meloxicam, gabapentin, fentanyl patch and was given methadone in clinic and seemed to improve.<br>Similar episode at christmas and intermittently since.~6 times since<br><br>Has been moderately comfortable with meds on board. Gabapentin 100mg BID and meloxicam SID.<br>Less interested in food. No v or d, seemed to struggle to toilet yesterday.<br><br>Exam:<br>BAR timid, shaking, HR 132bpm nad, RR pant nad, MM p/m/2s,LN nad, abdo tense but no splinting, T 38.5<br>EENO nad<br>MSK: no lameness on walk, all limbs nad, no proprioceptive deficits, no pain on palpation of spine. Full ROM in neck in all directions.<br><br>DDx spinal pain (OA vs IVDD) vs intra-abdominal pain (pancreatitis?)<br><br>Plan:<br>Admit for spinal xrays tomorrow. Continue on paid medication for now.<br>If xray is not diagnostic consider bloods and/or CT.<br><br><br>proprioception ok<br>fentanyl patch from thursday night R tarsus</p>
