<p>- BIB {victoria} <br><br>Lump noticed approx a year ago on the R caudal thigh region. Owner notes this was not tested however had been monitoring. This as gradually become larger. Recent visit to groomer suspected to have traumatized this mass, and Indi has been licking and biting this over the past couple of days<br>otherwise well at home, eddu normal, no vdcs<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Exam</span>.<br>Demeanour: QAR<br>Temp: not taken<br>BCS - 5/9<br>Eyes NSF<br>Ears NSF<br>Oral exam: mild calculus with canines and carnassial teetn<br>Dental grade: 1-2/4<br>Cardiac ausc: HR= 140, no murmur, no arrhythmias<br>Respiratory: RR= 16, clear, eupnoeic<br>Abdo: NSF on abdo palpation<br>MSK: Grade 1/4 MPL bilaterally, mild crepitice with flexion-extension<br>Skin: NSF<br>L/N: NSF<br>Other findings:<br><br>1cm mass to right caudal thigh. Overlying skin is inflammed with moist weeping. <br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tests performed</span>- <br>discussed FNA and cytology testing, as the wound appears actviely infected this may be unrewarding due to inflammation/infection. Owner opted to first treat infection and reassess >2wks after inflammation/infection has resolved <br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Assessmen</span>t -<br>Mass + secondary infection (likely trauma from groom and self trauma) . Mass DDx cyst, benign growth, malignant growth. Signs of overt secondary infection. <br><br><strong>Treatments:<br>dilute chlorhex 1-2x per day for 7d<br>E collar (owner will buy kong cloud style collar from pet store)<br>amoxyclav 50mg 1 tb PO BID for 7d <br></strong><br>Revisit: >2wks for FNAs +/- cytology to lab</p>
