Monthly preventives missedParsley is very agitated and very anxious, but also tends to be very anxious during vet visitsHad history of paracetamol poisoning  which was treated hereObjective:- General demeanour: Very anxious and agitated, constantly moving around, panting- Cardiovascular: within normal limits- Respiratory: Panting, pink mucous membranes- Integument: Good hydration status with moist mucous membranes- Musculoskeletal: Brief unsteady gait noted at approximately 4:00 PM, though walking normally during examination. Mild reaction on left leg palpation but not repeatable- Gait: Walking normally, no limping observed, following commands appropriatelyAssessment:Acute onset paw licking and biting behaviour in anxious patient. No obvious foreign body or irritation identified on examination.Plan:Given 0.8 ml Butorphanol SC- Continue monitoring at home- Return within 24 hours if symptoms recur for further assessment- Video recording of any future episodes of licking or biting behaviour for assessment- No anti-anxiety medication prescribed as anxiety appears situationalClient communication:Discussed that examination revealed no obvious cause for the paw licking behaviour. Explained monitoring plan and advised to return if symptoms recur within 24 hours. Owner declined anti-anxiety medication as behaviour appears related to veterinary visit rather than generalised anxiety. Advised to document any future episodes with video recording.
