-Health concerns: Ear haematoma that appeared Thursday during the day and has grown in size since then
-EDDU: normal
-Vomiting or diarrhoea: none
-Sneezing or coughing: none
-Vaccination/worming/fleas: did not check
-Current medications: ear drops for yeast ear infection (one week remaining), mostly shaking ears after application of medication

Physical Examination
-Mentation: BAR
-Ears: Ear haematoma present on middle top half of left ear, approximately 4cm long

Assessment:
1) Aural haematoma (L.ear)
   - Ddx: secondary to head shaking from ear infection

Plan:
1) Drainage of haematoma performed - 23mL of fluid aspirated using 22Gneedle and 25mLsyringe
   - Owner to apply pressure to area to keep flat if possible
   - Ice pack application recommended
   - Monitor for refilling

2) Continue current ear medication for remaining week

3) Recheck appointment scheduled for the 11th April (as due for cartrophen then)
   - Return sooner if haematoma worsens or refills significantly or ear infection getting worse

4) Surgery for aural hematoma discussed as option if conservative management fails
   - Owner prefers to avoid surgery
