SUMMARY: L ag abscess / sacculitis

ANAESTHETIC:
Sedated with butorphanol / medetomidine 0.3ml of each at GV20
Propofol given iv to effect so comfortable to flush ag.
Flow by O2.

PROCEDURE:
Flushed L ag with saline. Bloody fluid / pus recovered.
Still large amount of cellulitis lateral to ag.
Aspirated from cellulitis area, minimal recovery of bloody fluid

MEDICATION / PAIN RELIEF:
paracetamol iv @ 20mg/kg over 10 minutes (40ml)
amoxyclav juno iv @ 20mg/kg over 10 minutes (7ml)
Amoxyclav tablets tgh, start tomorrow morning
Meloxicam liquid tgh, start tomorrow evening.
