<html><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><p>Hx: has had skin issue before and was on cytopoint injection last few times. After the last cytopoint inj dog was OK after 4 weeks. Very itchy for the last 2-3 weeks.<br><br>Exam: Vitals nad. Dog is very bright. General health is good except skin issue. <br>Generalised alopecia, erythema, greasy skin, and lichenification on head, cheek, trunk, and both hindquaters. There are a few collarettes on dorsal trunk. Both ears are mildly inflamed with some yellow discharge. <br><br>Tape impression cytology of skin - mostly cocci ++++, also saw 1 yeast. <br><br>Assessment:<br>Allergy, atopy with secondary pyoderma +/- seborrhoea. <br><br>Plan:<br>Apoquel 4mg (1/4 of 16mg) po bid 10 days, then sid to manage itchiness for now. <br>Dermotic 5-8drops each ear bid 2 weeks (has at home)<br>Cephalexin 250mg po bid 4 weeks<br>Malaseb shampoo (has at home) twice a week followed by pyohex conditioner (purchase from pet shop)<br>Revisit in 1-4 weeks depending on how dog is responding, 4 weeks if everything is going well, sooner if not enough improvement.<br><br></p></html>

Use meal for mutts or Vetone dietsCytopoint 0.25ml SC of 40mg SCFor the ears for ongoing maintenance use the cleaner once fortnight/monthlyFor the inflammation. Shake well. Apply 1 to 2 drops once a week of Elocon 0.1% ongoing in both ears.
