13/03/2026 Walk in nurse (Chelsa) triage - Bee sting

1:28pm - Pippa was in the garden and Belinda saw her get stung on the face by a bee, also had video evidence from house cam. She pawed at her face for a couple of seconds but quickly resolved. Within 3 minutes, Belinda had the bee in a jar (no stinger seen on bee) and gave Pippa half a Zyrtec (0.5ml in total). 
Since the incident, Pippa is reported to have been more quiet than normal but is still ambulating normally and has a very happy tail wag. 
No vomiting or symptoms. 7:30am - Handful of dry food. 1:20pm - Roo stick snack. Has had lots to drink this morning but hasn't been seen drinking since bee sting. 

This is not the first time Pippa has been stung by a bee. In 2024 she was stung on the foot and had a reaction - passed out and projectile vomiting but the reaction was bought on 2 hours later when she was excited and barking at a dog. She was taken to emergency where they found a stinger in her foot (after we were unable to find here), she was put on fluids and monitored in their hospital. I have requested the hx from this visit.  

2PM:
Demeanor: BAR, tail wagging, very alert (Belinda concerned that she isn't barking) 
HR: 100 (difficult to hear clearly due to body movements and panting) 
Temp: 38.3
RR: Panting, super excited
MM: Slightly pale pink
CRT: <2 secs 
No swellings, no irritations or red spots, unable to locate a stinger. 

JT: 0.35ml Dexamethasone given SQ at 2:20pm. Monitoring in clinic for any symptoms

Demeanor: BAR, tail wagging, very alert but nervous shaking.
HR: 112 
Temp: Not taken without assistance
RR: Nervous shaking
MM: Still slightly pale pink
CRT: <2 secs
