Phone call to say the gland had burst again.Said I would dispense antibiotics this time and then we would have to work out what to do.

After having several abscessed anal glands owners found significant improvemnt with strict diet change. Over the Xmas period has had some titbits from grandparents and since then has flared up again. Everything else is fine. No issues with skin.Suspect the right side has popped last night. LIcking a lot.Still has some left over meloxicam from last time. Lovely dog but nervous. Has kong collar on.RIght side has ruptured. REctal gently showed left still some some contents and is like dried toothpaste - cannot get it out. No swelling but unable to express. Right side soft tissue inflamamtion and sore. Home with amoxyclav for 7d then revisit. Meloxicam for a few days as well SID to help with comfort. Did discuss removal but owner happy for diet control.

Has a large bag of rc puupy dry food that is being fe,Doesn't get treats@nd episode of guit upset. Vomit and diarrhoea in the carate overnight.2 noghts ago, then fine during the day but not eating much. V and d again last night with blood in it.Temp 39. Sligh gut tenderness.Earseyes ok.Not dehydrated.Put on metrogyl and prokolin and gave maropitant injection
