Reason: Wound Left forelimb from cat fight, Subjective: Hx of cat fight approx 1 week ago, wound on LFL initially bled and dried, reopened yesterday. Patch of hair loss also noted. O witnessed fight with another cat in backyard. No limping observed, eating and drinking normally. No medications given at home. Previous similar episode 1-2 years ago, treated with steroids at that time. Cat very timid, indoor/outdoor access.Objective: BARHR/PR/Cardio: pulse normal and synchronous, CV normal, no audible murmurTemp: neMM/CRT/Hydration: pink, moist CRT 1 sec, hydration normalRESP/RR: NAD normal rate and effortGIT/UG: NAD comfortableSkin/Ears: Small wound plamar aspect of LFL aspect, consistent with cat bite/scratch,  M/S: NAD, no obvious lameness observedEyes: NADDental: cleanLymph Nodes: wnlBCS: 5/9Assessment: LFL wound secondary to cat fight. Risk of infection given age of wound.Treatment: Clavulox 1ml PO BID until finished (to be kept refrigerated)Plan: Continue Antibiotics as directed until finished. Keep cat indoors until wound healed. Wound should heal by secondary intention over 1-2 weeks with antibiotic cover. Monitor for signs of infection.
