They have clipped, cleaned and bandaghed this wound and put Sonny in an Ecollar to help manage them.May also have an ear problem.Examine: BAR, sweet dog. Mm pink, mod tartar. Thorax nad, abdo nad. Limbs ok. Right rump is a 2cm bloody scabby wound - covered in pink spray. Clipped and cleaned- there is a raised friable 2cm lesion here- I think this is the same right rump wound mentioned in previous visits. Just to LHS of this is a frim 12mm dermal mass. Suspect these are dermal cysts - the one on the right rump has burst again.Removed dressing from right hock- on lateral aspect just about joint is a traumatised 8mm cutaneous mass - explain to o this is what he is chewing at.Assessment: the 2 lesions are likely skin lesions- cysts? Tumours? That have been traumatised or burst. The other dermal lesion is likely an early dermal cyst too. Explain to o that if we treat these with antibiotics they will seem to improved but likely to be an ongoing issue. I strongly recommend we surgically excise them- ideally histopath to confirm nature. Explain this will be the best way of getting Sonny more comfortable and out of his Ecollar. These do seem to be a lesion Sonny could be prone to so we may see more develop in time.At the same time we should S&P his teeth.Otitis externa- mild. To adress this when he is under ga for lump excision.Rough verbal est approx $2000+$300 for S&P.O booked for approx 10 days. Aware day procedure.Exdplain that his pet insurance should contribute to this type of procedure.Treatment: Rebandaged wound right hock- o to continue to manage this.500mg amoxyclav po bid 10 days to settle secondary infection prior to sx.To send more detailed est.TeethR hockR rump.
