Anaesthetic:
1. Pre-med: 0.3 mg/kg methadone IM + 10 mcg/kg medetomidine IM @
2. Induction: 2mg/kg Alfaxan IV @ 1.24ml 
3. Intubation:  5.0 cuffed ET tube.
4. Maintenance: isoflurane/O2.
5. IVF: LRS 5ml/kg/hr
6. Intra-op medications: 0.01ml medetomidine IV @ 10:25am, 0.2ml lignocaine NB @ 10:51am, 0.2ml lignocaine NB 11:05am 
7. In recovery and extubated when swallowing @ 11:35am 
8. Peri-op meds: 0.2mg/kg meloxicam SC

Surgery: 
- Routine pre-scrotal closed castration.
- Exteriorise and double ligate (encircling and transfixing) left testicle 3/0 monosyn.
- Repeat same right testicle.
- Remove 2 x descended testicles
- Closure: simple continuous in SC 3/0 monosyn, intradermals 3/0 monosyn.
- Deciduous canines (504 and 604) removed and gum sutured with 5/0

Plan: 
1. 0.1mg/kg meloxicam PO SID 5d starting: tomorrow evening 
2. Revisit appointment if any concerns
3. Must wear e.collar.
4. REST.
5. Soft food for 7 days 

Nurse discharge:
Discussed post-op care including wound monitoring, e-collar and rest. Discussed meloxicam dosing.
