ADV to give small amount of bland food now (330) to see. Puppy still BAR . If pup can't keep food and water down now adv to take to emergency instead. CCEMDr Elise Kinsey N11075History:- Presented for diarrhoea since Monday (10/03/2026) and one episode of vomiting this morning after breakfast.- Diarrhoea described as light brown, very watery, occurring 2-3 times per day in large amounts. Straining noted. No blood observed.- Previous episode of bloody diarrhoea approximately one month ago, diagnosed as dietary indiscretion (grass, hair, bones).- Eats grass. Kept food down after vomiting this morning (chicken at 2:30pm).- Prophylaxis (flea/tick/worm): Up to date with Simparica Trio. Acute gastroenteritis (vomiting and diarrhoea)2. Suspected dietary indiscretion vs. infectious cause (bacterial/parasitic)Treatment:1. Bloods taken for haematology and biochemistry panel.2. Pro-Kolin paste dispensed.Plan:1. Owner to collect a faecal sample for a faecal PCR panel to investigate infectious causes (e.g., bacterial, coccidiosis).2. Start Pro-Kolin paste twice daily.3. Feed a bland diet in small, frequent amounts for the next 24 hours.4. Discussed blood test results will be available tomorrow. The PCR test will also be sent off once the sample is received.
