Hello again Roshan
No other questions needed .
We have had a talk, and Adrian will pick up Billies new meds.
We have dropped her food quantity and she did not loose weight. She loves having a knitted coat on so she may have had some symptons.
Thanks again

Regards to you
Joy

Dear Joy and Adrian
I hope you are both well. We have results back for the thyroid function test and is is very suggestive of hypothyroid disease for Billie. Normally dogs with hyopthyroid disease feel the cold, are slower than they used to be, can get skin conditions, gain weight can develop nerve issues. While Billie does not have all these I think the tests are suggestive enough to commence treatment.
There is a tablet to be given twice daily ( for life) and we check blood thyroid levels 4-6 hours after morning tablet given in about 6-8 weeks. I will send you some information on this disease in dogs and if you would like to treat then let me know  - I will add her to the scripts to be made up on tuseday,
Aside from this her blood test show low creatinine  ( she has had this before probably as she lacks muscle) and slight increase in one liver values. Ideally we should consider abdominal utrasound but as she is clinically well and liver value not increased from last visit I think it reasonable to commence treatment for thyroid and re check in 6-8 weeks, If higher then we can think about ultrasound.

Please continue all medications as you have been  and collect and commence thyroxine if you are happy to do this.

Please let me know if you would like call to discuss first
I will include some information with side effects on medication for you to read also

Best regards
ROshan
