O first noticed sensitive/occasional limp on Tuesday, has progressed over the last few days to NWB/completely lifting paw when standing.
Has been licking at paw a lot.
No current medications.
EDUF normal.
Otherwise his normal self.
O checked paws at home (hates people near feet) and thinks torn pad.
Always tends to lick paws, just worse at the moment.
No PU/PD.

PE:
Mentation: BAR, eating treats from hand.
BCS: 5/9
EENT: NAD
Teeth: OK on quick exam but not fan of oral exam
MM: pink, moist, CRT 1.5sec
LNs: all WNL
HR: 92
RR: panting
Abdomen: tense
MSK: lifting RFL paw off ground, when lifting able to see wound to lateral aspect of carpal pad

Assessment:
Looks to be torn/traumatised paw pad (sliding/sudden stoppage caused tear).
Suspect chronic allergies causing ongoing licking.
Informed O risk of metacam as no bloods, O happy to take.

Plan:
Amoxyclav as per label.
Metacam as per label.
Eliz-collar.
Re-check in 7 days.
