Reason: Poss BloatConsultation time:Hospitalisation period:  History:Presenting problem:Betty woke owner up about an hour ago. She was panting, pacing around, jumping up on bed and digging, Wouldn't settle, Sometimes can get work up up like this when there is a storm, but currently no store so owner thought was odd. She did have one burp but no retching, vomiting or diarrhoea. Ate dinner normally tonight. Usually gets fed kibble in morning and PRIME 100 roll in evening. Had Gastro earlier this year. Is currently on diet trying to loose weight. HAs not been given any treats recently. Doesnt eat foreign body type things. O cant rememberer of had gastropexy when was Speyed. Examine:  Demeanour - T:  39.0   HR: 140-->120   RR: panting     mm:pink, moist  CRT: <2sec Weight:  49kg       BCS:  8/9Cardiovascular - No murmur or arrhythmia auscultated. Respiratory - Panting. Normal BVS bilaterally. Did cough a little on tracheal pinch. Gastrointestinal - Comfortable on Palpation. No distension or tympani felt. Hypersalivating a little bit. Urogenital -  nsfMusculoskeletal - Ambulatory. No swelling or lameness. No neck/spinal pain. Integument - nsfNeuro - Normal mentationEyes - nsfLymph nodes -    nsf Problem list:RestlessPanting Assessment:Open diagnosis at this stage. Bettys signs are vague and appear to be settling on consult room. Can not feel obvious bloat, however restlessness can often be initial symptom. O would like to monitor at home. Client communication:STO about vague signs at this stage. Discussed that doesnt feel like boat but can;t rul out without a radiographs. Discussed options. 1. Treat as outpatient with antinausea and pain relief. 2. Radiographs abdomen. 3. Admit for full workup. Owner chose option 1. Declined radiograph. Advised to monitor over coming hours for any retching and bloating of abdomen. Treatment: Buprenorphine 0.015mg/Kg SC Maropitant 1mg/Kg SC  Plan:Home to care of owners.
