Reason: Ear/skin Check + Nails + Clean Face Appointment Notes: KAHistory: Seen by mobile vet for discharge in ears and itchy skin, prescribed oral pred and PMP ear solution. Owner couldn't medicate, so was medical boarding with us. Now still on PMP solution both ears BID and 5mg pred EOD. Cat is getting really irritated by ears after putting in ear meds and getting the ear solution all over head. - only seems to scratch ears after put ear meds in Much less itchy overall since initial mobile vet appt. Not currently on any parasite prevention. Examine: 1. BCS:    4 /52. Integument: pinpoint brown crusts cranial and caudal to both ears, matted hair around both ears. 3. Musculoskeletal: nad 4. Teeth: nad 5. Eyes: nad 6. Ears: brown waxy discharge moderate-marked worse in L ear, much more mild in R ear.  7. Lymph Nodes: nad 8. Cardiovascular/Circulatory:   nad  9. Respiratory/Pulmonary:  nad 10. Uro-genital: nad 11. Gastrointestinal: nad ->11a Anal Sacs: not examined 12. Behaviour: BAR13. Other: Laboratory: Cytology of ears: L ear has few scant cocci, but R ear has no microbes. Assessment: Insignificant ear infection both ears but still large amount discharge Pred is doing decent job at controlling itch Owners finding ear meds a nightmare to give - considering not a current infection, consider pausing ear meds. Need to continue pred though so skin doesn't flare up. Ear discharge could be due ot ear mites - cat not currently on any parasite prevention - recommended this today. Treatment: Cleaned around ears with chlorhex solution Applied bravecto spot on Plan:Stop PMP for now Continue pred EOD Bravecto every 3 monthsRecall in 5 daysLet us know if concerned    Vital Signs    Weight: 5.15;
