Also won't necessarily reduce the occurence of future MCT, just reduce the inflammation assocaited with degranulation when/if one is present2. Turmeric to reduce inflammation - adv small amounts are okay, not necessarily going to prevent occurrence as there is a breed and individual predisposition now. O asked specifically how I feel about turmeric - adv that I am fine for px to have it as long as there is no harm and if there could be even the smallest benefit to help then I welcome this.3. Mast cell tumour with eosinophils-aspirated for grading SPECIMENS RECEIVED 4 smears MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION Across the smears examined, only 1 smear was of diagnostic value and revealed an abundance of well-differentiated to variably granulated mast cells scattered freely as well as in variably sized cell clusters/clumps. The diagnostic most smear was accompanied by mild protein deposition, mild lipid droplet deposition and moderate mast cell degranulation as well as some eosinophils. Occasional spindle cells are also scattered throughout the background of the diagnostic most smear examined. No obvious micro-organisms were seen. DIAGNOSIS Mast cell tumour (likely low-grade to intermediate grade) COMMENT Recommend complete surgical excision with generous surgical margins and histopathological examination for grading purposes as well as assessment of surgical margins and checking regional lymph nodes for possible evidence of metastasis.
