12/03/2026 History: Presenting owner: Maryanne. - Normal EDDU, no V+ or D+. - Current diet: - Current medications: Gaba + Clonidine given this am. Cytopoint and amoxyclav. Anal glands - Sunday - glands expressed and there was blood. Monday expressed again, potent smell, not fishy. Skin and ears look less red with cytopoint on board. Examine: Still sore around bottom. EAG- expressed both - Leroy even with anti-anxieties still very sore/ vocal. Expressed both - there is runny, pink/ red and yellow material expressed. Still bloody. Assessment: still bloody/ infected and painful anal glands. Client Communication: Discussed adding in another a/biotic. Discussed starting steroids. Discussed treating with a flush next week and treat topically. Treatment: Amoxyclav = further week. Adding in enrofloxacin 20mg/kg sid PO Start pred to settle inflammation of anal glands. Plan: Needs anal gland flush again, still bloody. Then once infection cleared, surgery indicated to remove both anal glands. Revisit appointment if any deterioration, lack of improvement or failure to resolve.
