Mon went to vet in Vic & prescribed ABx & analgesia Lots of licking & seems uncomfortable but DUDE FAS score: 0 Signs: L AG abscess - wound pus like discharge, on internal exam L only mildly swollen & R empty/nad Problem list & assessment: L anal gland abscess Treatment & plan: Extended ABx & NSAID course Amoxyclav 500mg PO BID 7 (extended on 7d prescribed in Vic) Meloxicam 2ml PO SID 7d (extended on from 7d course from Vic) INI or worsens need recheck & possible C&S Discussed adding extra fibre to diet in form of cooked pumpkin, psyllium husk or oat bran. Also add probiotic such as lactose free Greek yoghurt.
