Reason: Came Home From Walk And Had A SeizureHistory:Presenting problem: seizsure?Collapsed/fell onto floor and seemed dazed and tremoring when got home from walk Was on floor for few minutes then got up and walked to his cage Mentally fine when it got up to walk, just slow on the walk Went out for a walk with this evening and did have a tussle with a snake Female O saw snake and was sure it was a python (1.2mish) and had triagular patterns of skin >dog also has been fussing with right ear (keeps leaning to right), scratches ear etc Examine:<<<vitals BAR, mms pink and moist, CRT <2 secCardiovascular: no murmurs or arrhythmias detected, lung fields clear Gastrointestinal: abdominal palpation soft, comfortable, no organomegaly or mass lesions palpatedMusculoskeletal: normal gait, manipulation of extremities unremarkableIntegument: no gross lesions, normal coat Ears: unremarkable- no erythema or exudateEyes/mouth/nose: unremarkableNeurological: appropriate mentation, no cranial nerve deficits, spinal painProblem list:seizure > extracranial (toxins,hepatopathy,pancreatic disease, etc)Vs intracranial (tumour, edema etc) COllapse > snakebite, anaphylactoc reaction, heat stress etcDiscussion:Discussed ddx for seizure or collapse. Advised if naive seizure then just monitor (if another seizure within 3mnths), needs diagnostics/treatmernt etc However concerns for snakebite, allergic/anaphylactic reaction etcO opt to monitor for now Ear cytology done - 2-3 yeast on 100x view Treatment:Otoflush for cleaning right ear once daily for the week then monthly to keep it clean If dog develops any other symptoms or has seizure again > to bring right back Vital Signs Weight: 27.4; MMColour: pink; Temperature: 38.6; HeartRate: 100; RespirationRate: 56; CRT: 1-2;
