right hind wound has not gotten better, leaving e collar on
antibiotics havnt helped at all
no longer on any medication

right hind limb on dorsal aspect of pes is a 50 cent coin sized fluid filled lesion, the distal aspect of this is slighlty open and has white scar tissue
FNA - neutrophils ++++ no bacteria detected

Ax
abscess - suspect fb, ddx neoplasia, resistance, bruceli ulcer less likley as dosnt grossly appear ulcerated

Px
given estimate for sedation and explore wound, discussed would normally drain abscess and take biopsy if no grass seed found
could consider culture
could consider mycobacteria culture (tissue culture), dosnt grossly appear consistent with brucelli ulcer but if O wants to spend the money, can rule it out sooner (takes several weeks to culture)
