Likely not from this am if ingested. <br>Both dogs show no symptom. The vomitus today more likely to be Lola than Lexi - but can't never be certain, would only have the best peace of mind if doing both dogs' coagulation<br>Mrs (Hilary) mentioned Lola has had small tinged of blood in her vomitus yesterday (been vomiting daily since last Wed)<br>Lexi has been well and normal, also more fussy than Lola<br><br>Exam:<br>BAR, BCS6/9<br>HR = 108 = PR, good intensity <br>Heart lung clear, no m/a<br>CRT 1.5<br>MM pink moist<br>EENO = gd2 calculus, mild gingivitis upper caudal<br>Abdo = Relax, no pain<br>LN = NAD<br>Temp not taken<br><br>Assessment:<br><span style="color: #626262; background-color: #ffffff;">PCV/TP- 50/72</span><br>Ruling out rodenticide toxicity<br><br>Tx:<br>Venepuncture R jugular - Aurora urgent PT & aPTT (taxi fee billed under Lola)<br><br>Client Comm:<br>Stay in hospital until aurora result ready<br>If coagulation abnormal - start vitK<br>Warned O it is possible both dogs' clotting time are normal eg. Lola's vomiting daily has ruptured a blood vessel resulting in what we saw in vomitus today. <br>Another low chance scenario is toxicity is too early (less than 48hour) to show on clotting time. If this is the case - need to keep both dogs quiet and watch for any symptoms. Or option of treating both dogs or retesting both dogs in 48hours<br><br>Clotting time result: - NORMAL<br>(PT) 8.0 secs ( 7.2 - 11.0 )<br>(aPTT) 12.1 secs (10.4 - 16.0 )<br><br>3pm; Called Stuart, advised above result - both dogs normal, no evidence of ratbait today<br>Discussed the chance of possibly toxicity too early to detect (<48h of ingestion). Although the rat body was dry and old, unlikely to be the case. <br>O happy to continue monitoring - ask to watch for lethargy, any bleeding </p> </div> </div></html>

a)b)c) ears - owner thinks probably has yeast infectiononly has 1 kidney congenitalCurrent medication & dose: not on medication_____________________________Patient Information:- Lexi- Groodle- 8 years old (acquired January 2018)Medical history- Recurrent ear infections with current episode affecting both ears, worse on right side- Hx unilateral kidney (congenital), managed on kidney-specific diet- Previous episodes of bloody diarrhoea, now resolved on current diet- Hx urinary incontinence, resolved after hormone therapy discontinuation- Slowing down, stiffer after waking, less interested in running- No current gastrointestinal issues- Vaccinations due JunePhysical exam:- Right ear: hot to touch, significant discharge, unable to visualise eardrum due to debris- Left ear: less affected but still inflamed- Eyes- Cloudy lenses bilaterally (age-related, not cataracts)- Dental disease grade 3 needs a dental again- Left shoulder stiffness, right elbow clicking- No back pain,normal lymph nodesnormal abdominal palpation- Good gum colour mm pink CRT <2sec- Heart sounds normal, no murmurs or arrhythmias- Lungs clear- Good body condition maintainedEAR CYTOLOGY yeast >20 per HPF both earsAssessment & Plan:1. Bilateral otitis externa (mainly yeast)- Neptra ear treatment applied (long-acting formulation)- Ear flush performed bilaterally, ears cleaned and dried- do with dental- Monitor for hearing changes (potential eardrum irritation if microtear present)- Recheck in 4 weeks or consider dental procedure with ear flush2. Dental disease- Significant tartar accumulation noted- Dental procedure recommended within 4 weeks- X-rays of upper sides planned due to severity- Estimate to be provided3. Arthritis (suspected)- Left shoulder stiffness and right elbow clicking consistent with age-related changes- Maintain good body weight- Increase non-slip surfaces at home- Consider supplements previously discussedAdditional Notes:- Owner advised to avoid swimming and beach activities due to coat matting and ear infection risk- Plant-based dental treats may be suitable for kidney management (owner to verify protein content)- Vaccinations due June as per usual schedule
