Appointment Notes: Stood on a bee- left hindHistory:Owner concerns: about 15 mins ago he stood on a bee. Had the bee stuck in his paw pads, O had to pull the bee and the stinger out. It was a little swollen and Winston was trying to lick his paw a lot, had a little bit of a limp. He was very restless and couldn't get comfortable, but seems to have settled now. Didn't have any vomiting or diarrhoea. Was well prior to this incident EDDU normallyNo V/D/C/SMedications: noneExamine:BAR, good to examine Cardiorespiratory: no murmurs or arrhythmias appreciated, pulses normal, lung fields clearAbdominal palpation: comfortable, no masses or organomegaly appreciatedMouth: mild generalised tartarEars: NADEyes: NADInteg: LH foot not swollen compared to RH, but very red between metatarsal and digital pads, very sensitive on gentle palpation in this area, but no evidence of remaining stinger or other FB. Comfortable on all other feet LNs: NADMSK/neuro: walking well in consult, no appreciable limp in LH Assessment:Bee sting LH Plan:Recommended giving antihistamine injection and following up with antihistamine for a few days. O happy with plan. R/v if any concerns Treatment:Given nirmaine 1.9ml SCRx iramine 8mg PO BID 2 days, starting tomorrow morning
