Incision through skin, subq and linea alba. Ovarian vessels clamped and ligated with millars knot followed by surgeons knot with 2-0 PDS. Uterus clamped and double ligated (1 transfixing) 2-0 PDS. Uterus and ovaries excised. Slight ooze noted in abdomen, pedicles check, ligatures secure and no bleed from pedicle. Oooze noted from fat adjacent to left pedicle. Ooze clamped and ligated with 2-0 PDS. No further ooze noted. Incision closed 2-0 PDS linea, 3-0 PDS to close subq and intradermal.Nails trimmedEar cytology:LEFT ear: marked cocci and yeast. Ear very gunky on otoscopic exam, red pinna and swollen. RIGHT ear: mild yeast present. Minimal redness, mild wax on otoscope exam. Treatment: Carprieve 1.8mls in recovery scHome on 50mg PO bid 5d Dermotic 0.5ml po bid both ears (L for 10d, R for 7d) Plan: Post GA call tomorrowRecheck with nurse in 3 days and 10 days with vet and recheck ears.
