HISTORY/PRESENTING COMPLAINT
Paw licking daily, sometimes aggressively, with odour noted. More than usual grooming. Predominantly front paws, occasionally back paws.

OTHER HISTORY
Vaccination status: C5 February 2025, due now
EDDU normally.
Desexed last february at another clinic. Have updated our file. 

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
General: Bright, well. Heart sounds normal, no changes.
Paws: Yeasty odour, fur discolouration on ventral aspect consistent with chronic licking. Hair noted between toes.
No testicles present.

CYTOLOGY
Impression smear from interdigital skin - yeast and bacteria confirmed.

PLAN
1. Antibiotics cephalexin 1 tablet BID for 5 days.
2. Malaseb foot bath once daily for 5 days - apply between toes, 5 minutes contact time, rinse with warm water, towel dry thoroughly. 
3. Cone for 5 days if tolerated to prevent licking.
4. Vaccination deferred - return in 1 week for vaccination and recheck paws.
5. If infection does not resolve despite treatment, consider contact dermatitis and longer-term management (e.g. cytopoint).

HISTORY: Hills science diet dry food - growing approx 800g per week
Fed 70g -100g twice daily 
recommend food dispensing toys and kongs as is really food motivated, may help to stop him stealing some of Teddy's food as she is less food motivated. Recheck weight and growth at 6 month check as high possibility of growing too fast!

Both testicles present
Heart sounds fine
Lower L lateral incisor 606 is sitting rostrally to the upper arcade -  need to watch bite and erruption of adult teeth to assess whether there are some decisuous extractions or abnormal erruptions of adult teeth occurring - check at 6 month check
