Diagnosis: open

HISTORY:
O has been visiting hospital daily for the last 10 days with a sick grandchild and Pippa has been left at home
Pippa's diet has changed in the last week as O has not been able to get to North Richmond for her raw food diet
O comments that Pippa has not been herself for the alst couple of weeks, nothing in particular just not herself
Yesterday she ahd one vomit but nothing since
This morning she ate her breakfast as normal but then came back inside and was hyperslivating for a while, no vomit seen
No diarrhoea seen
Current medication fluoxetine daily

CLINICAL EXAM:
Demeanour: bright, alert and responsive highly anxious dog
BCS: 5/9
Heart: within normal limits however difficult to accurately assess as dog panting and whining throughout consultation
Lungs: clear, panting
LN: within normal limits
Eyes: clear
Ears: clean
Nose: NAD
Oral cavity: NAD teeth good
MM: pink and moist
Pulses: within normal limits
Abdomen: NAD soft and easily palpable, normal gut sounds
Skin: NAD

ASSESSMENT:
open

PLAN:
Advised no abnormalities on physical examination
Discussed anxiety and diet change as possible causes of Pippa not being quite herself
Discussed work up with bloods +/- ultrasound - declined for now

Recommended behavioural consultation when O less worried about sick grandchild
O comments that she still has some clonidine at home
Recommended giving daily as prescribed as this will help with anxiety

None today
