11/03/2026 History: -Health concerns: Frank has had diarrhoea for 3 days since Sunday -EDDU: normal -Vomiting or diarrhoea: watery/sludgy diarrhoea for 3 days, vomited bile this morning but ate after and kept food down -Sneezing or coughing: none -Vaccination/worming/fleas: up to date -Current medications: Apoquel 16mg once daily Physical Examination -Mentation: BAR -Ears/Eyes/Nose: NAD -Oral cavity: no plaque or gingivitis noted -MM: pink, good gum colour -CRT: <2s -LNs: wnl -Thoracic auscultation: no heart murmur or adventitious lung sounds noted -HR:120, T: 38.3 -Abdominal palpation: no pain on palpation Assessment: 1) Acute gastroenteritis with mild dehydration Plan: 1) Probiotic powder one sachet once daily with food for 6 days 2) Bland diet consisting of cooked kangaroo and turkey (no chicken due to scratching), white rice, and pumpkin for 3-5 days - Cook the meat rather than feeding raw - Bowl should be half mushy white rice, half cooked meat, with quarter mashed pumpkin 3) Continue Apoquel 16mg once daily - Dispensed script for 100 tablets (100 day supply as O has another repeat left on previous script) 4) Monitor for improvement over next 3-5 days - If becomes lethargic or stops eating/drinking, may need IV fluids
