Subjective:
Seen for : last 20min Aubrey was out on balcony unsupervised, o then suddenly noticed his R eye becoming very puffy and a few other hive like swellings on his face. he is still bright, ambulatory and breathing without difficulty or stridor/stertor., No V+/D+

- EDDU normally, no V/D
- no current medications
- BAR on examination

Objective:
T 38.2 , PR 120, RR 36, MM pink, CRT <2s
Thoracic auscultation: No murmur or arrythmia, respiratory rate and effort WNLs, no adventitial sounds. 
Abdominal palpation: Soft and non-painful, no distension or fluid wave
Eyes: Clear, no discharge. Pupils even with normal PLRs and menace.
Ears: Clean with no discharge or erythema.
Mouth: Grade 1 calculus, grade 1 gingivitis
Integument: R eye has oedematous hive like swelling, also R muzzle has another swollen area
Musculoskeletal: Ambulatory with no lameness
Neurological: BAR, cranial nerves WNLs
Rectal exam: Not performed

Assessment: hypersensitivity, likely insect bite
Systemically well currently, no sign of anaphylaxis, breathing ok, CV status ok

tx: 0.4ml dexapent IM and Niramine 0.5ml IM

Admitted for IVC placement and observation

Update: 2pm swelling has resolved, Aubrey very BAR, vitals fine

Plan: Home for monitoring. hard to say whether Aubrey allergic to insect like bee, rec. o avoid as much as reasonably possible

Rec. 24hr centre if ongoing concerns

Thoracic auscultation: No murmur or arrythmia, respiratory rate and effort WNLs, no adventitial sounds.
Abdominal palpation: Soft and non-painful, no distension or fluid wave
Eyes: Clear, no discharge. Pupils even with normal PLRs and menace.
Ears: Clean with no discharge or erythema.
Mouth: Normal puppy dentition
Integument: Healthy haircoat, no lesions or masses
Musculoskeletal: Ambulatory with no lameness
Neurological: BAR, cranial nerves WNLs
Rectal exam: Not performed
Both testes descended

Assessment:
Due for vaccination

Plan:
- vaccinated C3 triennial SC + KC intranasal
- repeat health check in 12mths, sooner if concerned
