11/03/2026 Hx: long periods of excellent nose breathing but a few weeks ago she became a bit nasally not as good as she had been and started holding toy in her mouth not being nebulised as she hates it Exam: nares look fabulous nasal stertor is quite marked resolves with sniffing larynx and pharynx sound beautiful - nil noise lungs are clear, only bronchovesicular sounds present heart NAD LNs all WNL abdo palp NAD MPL as prev with significant muscle wasting skin is looking great today - just the chronic lesion on chest which is not inflamed Ax: doing well! however it sounds like we can get her nasal breathing better - ? seasonal rhinitis vs nasal FB vs inflam and hyperplastic turbinates vs other MPL Skin (controlled) Plan: try nebulised budesonide in a craate with a sheet over the top - can off er a toy or treat at the same time to make it more positive can attempt otrivin nasal spray - owner has this at home and thinks this will work short course of pred for inflam and doxy in case of rhinitis I would expect to see marked improvement within 1-2 weeks if absolutely zero change consider the possibility of a nasal fb and refer to BVSC for flush - I'm not keen to GA this dog without 24h support! repeats of elocon any time
