Reason: Rat Bait IngestionIngested rat bait, pulled out of the cupboardBetween 8pm-11pmFor urinary incontinence : propanolamine , 2 years agoOnly dog at homeEDUD normally, No v+ or D+UTD with vx------------------------Reason:Presented for possible rabbit bait ingestion.History:The owner found rabbit bait from a cupboard spread on the floor and is unsure of the amount ingested. The ingestion occurred between 8 PM and 11 PM this evening.Pre-existing medical condition/meds:- Urinary incontinence for two years, managed with Propalin.- Vaccinations are up-to-date.- No history of seizures.Examination:- Gums are pink and moist.- General appearance otherwise unremarkable.- Abdomen is soft and not enlarged.Assessment:1- Problem list:- Potential Rodenticide/Bait Toxicity2- DDx:- Anticoagulant toxicity is a primary concern.Plan:- Recheck with a local veterinarian in 48 hours for coagulation testing.- Advised the owner of the risks associated with anticoagulant rodenticide toxicity, including the delayed onset of clinical signs (2-3 days) such as lethargy, dark faeces, and bleeding.- Explained the high cost and intensive nature of treatment (plasma transfusions, oxygen therapy) if toxicity develops.- Advised to remove all accessible bait from the environment.- Instructed to monitor for any signs of bleeding or illness and seek immediate veterinary attention if they occur.Treatment:- Apomorphine was administered to induce emesis.Remi brought up small amount of rat bait pellet along with dinnerMetoclopramide was given SQ 0.5 mg/kg STO with 1g/kg ACLaboratory:- Coagulation profile (PT/APTT) advised in 48 hours to assess for clotting abnormalities.--- 10/03/2026 13:54:27 PM 1BS:Examinations - Resolved -    Vital Signs
