facial swelling, periorbital swelling involving both eyes, eyelids swollen, chemosis evident, skin folds on nose swollen and focal lesions on right side lower lip. owner reports a lump on lower left eyelid last night, not visible now. was given a telfast at 6am. minimal effect. corneas clear, pupils mid dilated and responsive, anterior chambers clear

likely insect sting based upon appearance, no recent drug administration

1ml dex s/c

pred 20mg bid 2days, sid 2days, eod 2days
cephalexin bid 5days

r/c if not resolved in 1wk, sooner if worsens.

miscommunication between what tested was wanted, did both swabbs and EDTA blood collection.
