Reason: RecheckReason: Post-Op CheckOwner(s) Present:History: Post-Splenectomy and Dental Recheck - Owner reports that Lucy's appetite has been improving over the last 2-3 days, and she is eating smaller, more frequent meals.- Weight: 21.4 kg.- Temperature: 38.9°C.- Physical Examination: - Gums remain slightly pale. - Abdominal incision is healing well. - Abdominal palpation is soft - HR is normal.Laboratory: - PCV: 28% (improved from 26% post-operatively).Client Advice: - Histopathology results for the splenic mass were discussed: - The mass is a complex tumor with features of a splenic stromal sarcoma, containing large areas of hemorrhage and necrosis. - It has both benign and potentially malignant components. - Prognosis is uncertain due to the rarity of the tumor type. Complete excision may offer a survival time of 18-24 months. - Imaging performed at the time of surgery showed no evidence of metastasis.- A review of dental findings from the recent procedure identified that tooth 209 has a deep pocket on the palatal side and requires extraction.- Plan: - Reduce Trilostane dose to half a tablet BID to improve appetite. The dose can be increased back to the previous level once her appetite is consistently strong. - Reduce Propalin dose back to 0.7 mL. - Schedule for a recheck abdominal ultrasound and dental procedure to extract tooth 209 in one month. - Appointment booked for 14/04/2026.Insurance Form: Insurance claim submitted for dates : Vital Signs Weight: 21.4; MMColour: pale pink; Temperature: 38.9; HeartRate: 108; RespirationRate: panting; CRT: 1;
