Owner applied topical cream and bandaged overnight.CURRENT MEDICATIONS: Neocort cream applied topically by owner last night.PREEXISTING CONDITIONS:CURRENT DIET:PE:- T-N- HR- RR/lungs:- MM-- LNN-- ABD-- BCS- Otoscopy/ears:- Oral health:- Eyes:- Msk system: Firm lesion palpated on the dorsal aspect of a paw.- Integument: Firm lesion on paw, adjacent to a sebaceous gland. Atypical presentation for a grass seed due to firmness and lack of fluid.- Urogenital: Not routinely examined.- CNS: Not routinely examined.Lab:PROBLEM LIST:1. Firm lesion on paw2. Licking pawDx:DDx: Localised pyoderma, infected sebaceous adenoma/gland, foreign body (grass seed).Assessment: Clinical signs are most consistent with a localised skin infection or an infected/blocked sebaceous gland. A grass seed foreign body is considered less likely.Rx: Neocort cream. Apply a small amount topically to the affected area BID for 2-3 days.PLAN: Continue topical treatment. Advised owner to bandage paw if licking persists, especially overnight. Re-present if the lesion increases in size despite treatment. Further investigation under sedation may be required if unresolved.?????
