REASON - Anal glands SO expressed, they didnt feel full but did get a little blood from one of the glands. R may have been slightly bigger than the leftWas booked in with nurse for anal gland expression. When blood seen, recommended consult with vet. HISTORY - since last visit has continued to be irritated by anal glands. O has been using psyllium husk and pumpkin. He keeps licking his bottom. otherwise has been ok. Has had numerous dentals and has previously had dental xrays with extractions at another clinic. EXAMINATIONBAR, heart and lungs sound normal, abdo palpation soft and relaxed, temp 38.5, rectal - both anal glands are empty - however frank blood coming from right side. Grade 2 dental diseaseASSESSMENTAnal gland infectionDental diseasePLANbooked tomorrow for IVFT, GA, anal gland flush and panapex and dental. No dental xrays - adding booking on when there may not be a lot of time, O fine with this. Estimate $1200-$1400, extra for extractions which O consent to. Chem10SDMA run today -
