10/03/2026 Ears still bothering Winnie. Currently using dermotic and canesten/ cortavance solution daily. Both ears very moist, ++hair and d/b exudate in ears. Really don't think it is going to be able to clear up until remove hair and debris from canals. Admit to sedate, pluck hair, clean, rpt cytology. Likely treat with long-acting gel and oral rped to try and help canals dry out. Sedated with 0.2 mls dom , 0.2 mls torb IV adequate sedation sample taken from both ears Yeasts +++++++++ large amount mattered hair in both ears Pucked the ears clumps of hair / wax Otic examination tympanum intact bilaterally ears moderately inflamed Flushed ears with saline until clean Placed osurina bilaterally need to repeat in 7 days already paid for Start pred reducing dose 10 mg oid 7 days 7 mg oid 7 days 5 mg ald 14 days Dog also has dermatitis around the mouth The hair is long and actually getting into the oral cavity Clipped away excess hair Recc groomer keeps short clipped nails
