Acute onset non weightbearing to intermitant toe toucing LEFT hind lameness after playing at park this am 
No known trauma 
Otherwise well 

Clin:
BAR non weight bearing left hind 
All long bones OK 
digits, hock & hip OK on manipulation adn flexion and extension 
Vocalsied and tried to bite repeatably when stifle extended-->

Rx /  Plan:
Admit for sedation adn X-rays

Sedated dom 0.4ml & torb 0.8ml IM - good sedation 
Iv catheter pllaced - topped up alfaxan to effetc

LEFT stifle Marked cranial caudal instability 

Right stifle rock solid 

V-D hip extended - Hips look good - good coverage of femoral heads by acetabulum 

Lateral and A-P stifles
Left stifle marked effusion with mild degnerative changes
Right stifle - mild effusion no degenrative changes
 
Acute LEFT ACL tear 
Book in TPLO with EB

Seen 10 days ago for GA and excisional biopsy gum mass around 405 
Biopsy 
405": Peripheral odontogenic fibroma (POF)/fibromatous epulis of
 periodontal ligament origin (FEPLO) (incomplete excision)

Clin:
Gum around 405 healed nicely 
No sign of recurrence at this stage 


Rx /  Plan:
Monitor monthly
Any sign of recurrence - Sx with attempt

Long discussion with imon re prognosis and options for Everest 
Benign oral mass 
Incomplete margins 
May or ay not comeback 
If it comes back maybe harder to get clean margins on.

Decided to monitor for local recurrence 
Any signs it comes back - repeat surgery 
Tme frame see back monthly for 1st 3 months
Then every 3 months for a year
