Appointment Reason: WoundH: Noticed licking at wound on R carpus yesterday. O not sure what caused the wound. Still well in himself, normal appetite etc. E: BAR, nervous but well behaved. Healthy BWMM p, thoracic ausc wnl. Normothermic. Wounds on lateral and medial aspect of carpus. Weight-bearing well on RF, carpus itself doesn't appears swollen. Wounds look infected with necrotic skin in centre of lateral wound.A: Infected wounds P: Clipped and cleaned wounds with dilute chlorhex. Dispensed amoxyclav 750mg BID and DMP to deter licking (both Rodeo and other dog at home). Warned skin in centre of wound likely to slough.
