<html><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><strong>History - </strong><br><p>Went outside this moring and came inside with R eye red and a bit puffy. No previous issues with eyes. <br>Rest of skin looks fine. <br>EDUF ok. <br>Later in the morning did try to rub at R eye and caused it to weep ++. <br>Redness has reduced from this morning .<br><br><strong>Physical exam -</strong><br>R eye - <br>Mild hyperemic skin periorbitally. <br>Pupil slightly constricted compared to LHS. <br>No issues around the eyelid margin<br>Mild hyperemic sclera. <br>Stain uptake - Large superficial corneal ulcer in lower half of eye (see picture). <br>Alcaine applied - no obvious FB found under TEL. <br><br><strong>Assessment -</strong> Superficial corneal ulcer - likely traumatic R eye. <br><br><strong>Plan - </strong><br>Atropine BID until eye is atropinised - first drop applied. <br>Chlorsig QID - O feels better chance of getting drops in compared to ointment. <br>Metacam 15kg dose SID - monitoring very closely for any GIT upset - had diarrhoea after castration on previcox. <br>Doxycyline 75mg BID 14d<br>O has blow up E-collar at home - if able to rub face will pick up cone E-collar. <br><br>Recheck in 7 days or earlier if looking cloudy or O worried. <br>Discussed with O the difficulty of corneal ulcers with eyes that protrude more.</p></html>
