History:Right-sided otitis externa (yeast and cocci) diagnosed Friday 16/01 (5 days ago); Surolan initiated at that time. Over the weekend, patient appeared painful and quieter than normal. Owners administered approximately 15 mg/kg paracetamol, with mild improvement only. Prednisolone commenced Monday; minimal response initially, with noticeable improvement today (Wednesday). EDDU remains normal. Bright and active on walks, though slightly quieter than baseline.Exam:BAR! Loves treats External ear canal: Generally healthy appearance with mild erythema; small amount of debris present, likely dislodged from deeper canal.Otoscopic examination: Improved appearance of ear canal with reduced debris; tympanic membrane not visualised (due to wiggly nature of dog, did not see deep enough in ear canal to accurately assess) R ear Cytology: Yeast ++, No cocci observed.Diagnosis: Resolving right-sided otitis externa.Treatment:Continue Surolan and continue prednisolone course (Extended pred course to 1 week @0.5mg/kg then 1 week at 0.25mg/kg)Plan: Re-check Tuesday to ensure OE has cleared completely after finishing surolan

Owner called and said that Buddy seems uncomfortable with 250mg of Paracetamol BID (=14mg/kg). Going well with ear meds. Dispensed a short tapering course of pred (0.5mg/kg SID for 4 days, then 0.25mg/kg SID for 4 days) then re-visit
